Adeboye Restates Warning Against Finding Marriage Partners On Facebook

The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, RCCG, Pastor Enoch Adeboye, has once again warned against the practice of finding spouses on social media platforms.

He stressed that it is totally wrong for anyone to go into marriage relationship via the social media without finding out the background of would-be partners.

Adeboye recalled how in the past parents would inquire about prospective spouses before approving marriages for their children.

The cleric said he had pity for the youth whose parents were involved in evil as such evil often affected their spiritual and physical development.

He noted that elders of those days were uneducated but very rich in knowledge.

Adeboye gave spoke at the April 2018 Holy Ghost Service and Vigil of the Church at its prayer ground in Mowe, Ogun State, on Kilometre 45 of Lagos – Ibadan Expressway, which ended on Saturday.

“If you marry on Facebook, you cannot tell what will come,” he warned.

The monthly programme was attended by Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo and his wife, Dolapo, as well as thousands of Christian faithful.

Adeboye had in 2017 warned members of his congregation not to engage in romantic relationship on social media.

He stated that such relationships might lead to broken homes.

“Let me tell you clearly, if you get a wife through the Facebook, you will lose her through the YouTube. You can quote me,” he had warned.

London Closes 500 Churches; Opens 423 New Mosques

The creeping Islamization of London is almost complete, with hundreds of official sharia courts operating in the capital, and mosques opening where famous Christian churches have stood for many hundreds of years.
London is more Islamic than many Muslim countries put together“, according to Maulana Syed Raza Rizvi, one of the Islamic preachers who now lead “Londonistan“, as the journalist Melanie Phillips has called the English capital. No, Rizvi is not a right-wing extremist.
Nobel Laureate for Literature,Wole Soyinka,  was less generous. He called the UK “a cesspit for Islamists“.
Terrorists can not stand London multiculturalism“, London’s mayor Sadiq Khan said after the deadly terror attack at Westminster last year. The opposite is true: British multiculturalists are feeding Islamic fundamentalism.

Above all, Londonistan, with its 423 new mosques, is being built on the sad ruins of English Christianity. Many iconic Christian churches in London have been converted into mosques.
Gatestone Institute reports: The Hyatt United Church was bought by the Egyptian community to be converted to a mosque. St Peter’s Church has been converted into the Madina Mosque. The Brick Lane Mosque was built on a former Methodist church. Not only buildings are converted, but also people. The number of converts to Islam has doubled; often they embrace radical Islam, as with Khalid Masood, the terrorist who struck Westminster.
The Daily Mail published photographs of a church and a mosque a few meters from each other in the heart of London. At the Church of San Giorgio, designed to accommodate 1,230 worshipers, only 12 people gathered to celebrate Mass. At the Church of Santa Maria, there were 20.
The nearby Brune Street Estate mosque has a different problem: overcrowding. Its small room and can contain only 100. On Friday, the faithful must pour into the street to pray. Given the current trends, Christianity in England is becoming a relic, while Islam will be the religion of the future.
In Birmingham, the second-largest British city, where many jihadists live and orchestrate their attacks, an Islamic minaret dominates the sky. There are petitions to allow British mosques to call the Islamic faithful to prayer on loudspeakers three times a day.
By 2020, estimates are that the number of Muslims attending prayers will reach at least 683,000, while the number of Christians attending weekly Mass will drop to 679,000. “The new cultural landscape of English cities has arrived; the homogenised, Christian landscape of state religion is in retreat”, said Ceri Peachof Oxford University. While nearly half of British Muslims are under the age of 25, a quarter of Christians are over 65. “In another 20 years there are going to be more active Muslims than there are churchgoers,” said Keith Porteous Wood, director of the National Secular Society.
Since 2001, 500 London churches of all denominations have been turned into private homes. During the same period, British mosques have been proliferating. Between 2012 and 2014, the proportion of Britons who identify themselves as Anglicans fell from 21% to 17%, a decrease of 1.7 million people, while, according to a survey conducted by the respected NatCen Social Research Institute, the number of Muslims has grown by almost a million. Churchgoers are declining at a rate that within a generation, their number will be three times lower than that of Muslims who go regularly to mosque on Friday.
Demographically, Britain has been acquiring an increasingly an Islamic face, in places such as Birmingham, Bradford, Derby, Dewsbury, Leeds, Leicester, Liverpool, Luton, Manchester, Sheffield, Waltham Forest and Tower Hamlets. In 2015, an analysis of the most common name in England showed it was Mohammed, including spelling variations such as Muhammad and Mohammad.
Most important cities have huge Muslim populations: Manchester (15.8%), Birmingham (21.8%) and Bradford (24.7%). In Birmingham, the police just dismantled a terrorist cell; there is also a greater probability that a child will be born into a Muslim family than into a Christian one. In Bradford and Leicester, half the children are Muslim. Muslims do not need to become the majority in the UK; they just need gradually to Islamize the most important cities. The change is already taking place. “Londonistan” is not a Muslim majority nightmare; it is a cultural, demographic and religious hybrid in which Christianity declines and Islam advances.
According to Innes Bowen, writing in The Spectator, only two of the 1,700 mosques in Britain today follow the modernist interpretation of Islam, compared with 56% in the United States. The Wahhabis control six percent of mosques in the UK, while the fundamentalist Deobandi control up to 45%. According to a survey from the Knowledge Center, a third of UK Muslims do not feel “part of British culture.”
SHARIA COURTS IN LONDON
London is also full of sharia courts. There are officially 100. The advent of this parallel judicial system has been made possible thanks to the British Arbitration Act and the system of Alternative Dispute Resolution. These new courts are based on the rejection of the inviolability of human rights: the values of freedom and equality that are the basis of English Common Law.
British personalities keep opening the door to introduce sharia. One of Britain’s leading judges, Sir James Munby, said that Christianity no longer influences the courts and these must be multicultural — which means more Islamic. Rowan Williams, the former Archbishop of Canterbury, and Chief Justice Lord Phillips also suggested that British law should “incorporate” elements of sharia law. The British cultural establishment is rapidly capitulating to Islamic fundamentalists in accepting their demands.
British universities are also advancing Islamic law. The official guidelines of the university, “External speakers in higher education institutions“, published by Universities UK, provide that “orthodox religious groups” may separate men and women during events. At Queen Mary University of London, women had to use a separate entrance and were forced to sit in a room without being able to ask questions or raise their hands — as in Riyadh or Tehran. The Islamic Society at the London School of Economics held a gala, in which women and men were separated by a seven-meter panel.
After the attack on the French satirical magazine Charlie Hebdo, the head of MI6, Sir John Sawers, recommended self-censorship and “some restraint” in discussing Islam. The British ambassador in Saudi Arabia, Simon Collis, converted to Islam and completed the pilgrimage to Mecca, the hajj. He now calls himself Haji Collis.

Joyce Meyer Defends Tattoos, Says She Might Get One to Make Religious People Mad

During a recent conference, Christian speaker Joyce Meyer made a biblical case for getting tattoos and admitted she has been thinking of getting one herself just to shut the mouths of religious people.

The video clip posted by Joyce Meyer Ministries on March 14 kicks off with Meyer explaining the difference between being holy and religious.

"Holiness is not legalism," Meyer declared.

She went on to explain that religious people have made a mess of holiness by putting a bunch of rules and regulations on people. She listed drinking, dancing, wearing makeup and more among those rules.

Meyer quoted Isaiah 44:5 in defense of getting permanent markings. The scripture says, "One will say, I am the Lord's; and another will call himself by the name of Jacob; and another will write [even brand or tattoo] upon his hand, I am the Lord's, and surname himself by the [honorable] name of Israel."

She also shared the counterargument often used to discourage believers from getting tattoos found in Leviticus 19:28: "Do not cut your bodies for the dead, and do not mark your skin with tattoos. I am the LORD."

Televangelist Pat Robertson, among others, has cited Leviticus to argue that getting tattoos is a "heathen practice."

"You look at the Bible, the people are told not to mark their bodies and cut themselves like the heathen did. Tattooing is a heathen practice, it is not a Christian practice," Robertson said in 2016.

But Meyer rejected the argument and contended that God also tattooed those He loves to Himself.

"The Bible says in Isaiah 49 that God has a picture of you tattooed on the palm of His hand," she maintained.

"I'm right on the verge of going and getting a tattoo," she added, pointing to her shoulder blade. "I thought I might as well just push all the religious people right off the cliff and just get it over with."

Houston pastor Kirbyjon Caldwell, other man accused of defrauding $3.4M from investors

SHREVEPORT, Louisiana - Renowned Houston pastor Kirbyjon Caldwell and another man are accused of defrauding investors of millions of dollars in exchange for Chinese bonds that had no value, according to a federal indictment.
Caldwell, senior pastor at Windsor Village United Methodist Church in Houston, and Gregory Alan Smith, a former broker and financial planner, are facing nine violations from the Securities and Exchange Commission out of Louisiana.
According to court documents, Caldwell and Smith duped at least 29 people into buying bonds for a total of $3.4 million between April 2013 and August 2014.
The pair told investors that the historical Chinese bonds, which reportedly have been in default since 1939 and aren't recognized by the current Chinese government, could provide exorbitant, risk-free returns on their investments and that the bonds would be sold by Caldwell to a third party or redeemed by the Chinese government, court documents state.
The indictment states Smith secured the victims due to his connections to prospective investors, whom he told he was an investment advisor and had personally invested hundreds of thousands in the deal.
Caldwell then told investors to wire the money to a bank account controlled by his attorney or an account of a limited liability company of which he is a member, the indictment reads. Caldwell is accused of then transferring the money to his personal account, the personal account of Smith or a Mexican business associate.
Caldwell and Smith promised investors they would be paid and offered a wide range of 'excuses,' according to court documents.
Caldwell, 64, received $760,000, which he used for personal expenses, including mortgage payments, the indictment claims.
Caldwell's limited liability company also received $1 million, of which $175,000 was transferred to Caldwell, according to the indictment.
Smith, 55, received $1 million of investor funds which he used for luxury vehicles.
None of the investors received any money back, according to the court documents.
In 2012, a celebration was held for Caldwell at Windsor Village United Methodist Church.
The celebration was held in honor of the pastor, who had served them with 30 years of service.
Caldwell, a third generation Houstonian, said he was honored to be a part of the church for so long.
Caldwell gained national notoriety when President George W. Bush made him his spiritual advisor.
Through Caldwell's help, Windsor Village grew tremendously from a small southwest Houston church to one of the biggest in the city.

“Hell Does Not Exist” Pope Francis Says In Italian Interview

“There is no hell where the souls of sinners suffer in eternity”, Pope Francis was quoted as saying in a Thursday interview with Italian daily La Repubblica.

Francis said: “after death, the souls of people who repent are pardoned by God and join in his contemplation, “but those who do not repent, and therefore cannot be pardoned, disappear.”

“Hell does not exist – what exists is the disappearance of sinful souls,” he added.

The pope was interviewed by Eugenio Scalfari, a veteran Italian journalist and atheist, who regularly muses about faith and religion, and enjoys access to the leader of the Catholic Church.

In the past, the veracity of quotes he attributed to the pope has been called into question, especially after the 93-year-old Scalfari admitted to never using a tape recorder during interviews.

However, the Vatican has never complained about Scalfari’s work, and Francis has continued giving interviews to him.

Andy Savage, Tenn. megachurch pastor, resigns following sexual assault investigation

MEMPHIS, Tenn. --  A pastor accused of sexually assaulting a teenage girl 20 years ago has resigned from his ministerial post at a Tennessee megachurch, CBS News affiliate WREG-TV reports. Andy Savage announced his resignation Tuesday after the Highpoint Church concluded their investigation.
The church says they stand by Savage's resignation. They also acknowledged their own response to the situation may not have been appropriate.
"Highpoint leadership has come to recognize that it was defensive rather than empathetic in its initial reaction to Ms. Jules Woodson's communication concerning the abuse she experienced, and humbly commits to develop a deeper understanding of an appropriate, more compassionate response to victims of abuse," church employees told WREG-TV.
Jules Woodson claims Savage sexually assaulted her when she was 17 years old in 1998. At the time, Savage was a college student and youth pastor at a Texas church. Woodson was a congregant.
According to Woodson, the alleged assault took place on a dirt road while Savage was driving her home. Savage, however, says he never forced her to do anything.
"It was a very mutual, spontaneous, physical moment. Our hormones were obviously very much in that moment and she performed oral sex," Savage said.
Both Savage and Woodson told church leaders what happened, but the police weren't notified. Savage subsequently took a leave of absence after the allegations became public. He later resigned and moved to Memphis, Tennessee.
"Your passionate opinions on this important matter have truly helped me to gain perspective that I simply could not have achieved on my own," Savage wrote on the church's website Tuesday. "I have come to understand Jules' vantage point better, and to appreciate the courage it took for her to speak up. While Jules cried out for justice, I carelessly turned the topic to my own story of moral change, as if getting my own life in order should help make up for what she went through and continues to go through."
Highpoint Church says a third party will assess their current policies and training. Necessary adjustments will be made.
No charges have been filed against Savage as the statue of limitations has passed.

Daddy Freeze reacts to photos of Bishop Oyedepo’s $40m private jet

Controversial On Air Personality (OAP), Daddy Freeze, has written about Bishop David Oyedepo’s $40million Bombardier Challenger Private jet in his Dominion Hangar at Lagos Airport.

The Bishop’s private jet surfaced online yesterday.

In an Instagram post, Freeze wrote: “Nigeria just overthrew India, according to worldpoverty.io by having the largest number of people living in extreme poverty. India, despite her population at 1.3billion still has less poor people than we have and we are only 194 million. If this private jet spirituality makes sense to you, It doesn’t make sense to me!
Daddy Freeze and Bishop Oyedepo

“The greatest commandment Jesus gave us was to love our neighbors as ourselves.

“How can you claim to love your neighbor as yourself when you send a bus to pick your neigbor, while you ride a $40million dollar jet?

“They tell us to obey Malachi…. how can you obey Malachi and disobey Jesus? Are you a Malachian or a Christian? ~FRZ #FreeTheSheeple, Romans 13:9 New Living Translation.

“For the commandments say, “You must not commit adultery. You must not murder. You must not steal. You must not covet.” These–and other such commandments–are summed up in this one commandment: “Love your neighbor as yourself.”

“Matthew 22 [37] Jesus replied: “ ‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’c [38] This is the first and greatest commandment. [39] And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’d [40] All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.”
